Michael has worked in the field of behavioral health and childrens health services for over 17 years as a clinician, administrator, and advocate. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and currently serves as the Executive Director of Student Support Services for the Fort Worth Independent School District. He has been a member of the TASBHC Board of Directors since 2006.
Bethany McClean - President Elect
Bethany McClean, RN, MSN, is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She currently holds the title of Clinical Programs Director, School Based Health, at JPS Health Network in Ft. Worth, TX. Bethany McClean has 25 years experience in nursing, concentrating on women’s and children’s health. She resides in Arlington, Texas with her family. Ms. McClean has served on the board of TASBHC since 2006 and looks forward to serving as President-elect.
Alix Flores – Immediate Past President/Legislative Chairperson
Mr. Flores has close to 15 years of experience in coordinating and leading projects in the health care field. Alix has worked on projects as varied as HIV/AIDS education and school-based health care projects. Mr. Flores has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and has completed all course work towards a master’s in public health. Currently, Alix is responsible for the Brownsville Community Health Center’s school-based clinics, Campus Care Centers, and Mano A Mano, BCHC’s Promotora outreach program. Mr. Flores has served on the TASBHC board for 4 years.

Cathy Mousavi, R.N. – Executive Secretary
Cathy is the program coordinator for the Willow Bend SBHC in Lubbock Texas. She is also the school nurse for Willow Bend Elementary, located in the Friendship Independent School District. She has been involved with school-based health centers for 3 years and a member of the board of directors for TASBHC for 2 years. Cathy has 20 years of nursing experience in various specialties including cardiac, home health, and psychiatric nursing. She and her husband Reza have been married for 25 years and have 6 children.
Dulce Torres began her more than 20-year career in the mental health arena in Puerto Rico. Has master’s degree is in counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a trained AD/HD coach. She worked as the director of a community mental health clinic for children & adolescents in Dallas. Dulce is currently the manager for the Kiosco Youth & Family School Based Health Center with Dallas ISD. A frequent speaker at national conferences, she began a second career as a columnist for Spanish newspaper in Texas; El Sol de Texas, La Estrella and is now the columnist for El Panorama, where she contributes a weekly feature. She is a mother, wife and a volunteer for the North Texas Chapter of CHADD (Children & Adults with AD/HD), serving as the Coordinator. She is also the treasurer for TASBHC and a member of the Texas Association of Counselors.
Michele Doonan, R.N. is the Clinic Coordinator for the Comprehensive Care Center for Ysleta Independent School District (Y.I.S.D.) in El Paso, Texas which serves a population of 45,000 students near the border of Mexico. The clinic offers both both medical and dental services to all students in Y.I.S.D. Michele has been a Registered Nurse for 26 years and has been involved with school health for twelve years. She has been on the board of directors for TASBHC for 7 years.
Javier has worked for Community Action Corporation of South Texas Health Center Division (a Federally Qualified Health Center) since January of 2004. He currently holds the position of Business Development and Chief Information Officer for 7 health centers including a school based health center located in San Patricio County. He has been a TASBHC Board Member since 2009.
Dale has worked with developing community mental health programs since 1974, with a special emphasis on linking services to schools. He holds mental health licenses and is a Clinical Member of The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dale is currently Director of Family and Community Resources for the Fort Worth Independent School District.

Lynnie spearheaded the first mental health mobile crisis program in the Dallas area 15 years ago. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an accredited Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Her career as an Administrator in the mental health field has been focused on the operational and strategic business direction of Mobile Crisis Teams, Assertive Community Treatment Teams, and Facility-Based Crisis Stabilization programs. She has participated and chaired numerous advocacy committees on behalf of the mental health communities in Durham, NC and Dallas, TX. Her current role is Director of 10 Youth and Family Centers for the Dallas Independent School District.
