Active:

Active membership shall be granted to professionals who promote quality health
care to Texas Children and youths and support the goals as established by the Texas Association of School-Based Health Centers. An active member shall be a dues paying member, have the privilege of voting, holding an elective office, serving as chairman or as a member of a committee.

 

Student:

Student membership shall be granted to any student (enrolled in a health care professional program or to a graduate of a health care professional program) enrolled full time in a program related to health care or in a college degree program , who shall support the mission and goals of this Association. A student member shall be a non-voting member but may have the privilege of serving as a member of a committee.

 

Associate:

Associate membership shall be granted to an individual who has no other avenue to membership into this Association, who is employed in a health care or related industry and who supports the mission and goals of this Association.

(1) Associate members shall not take part in any governance of the Association. An Associate member shall be a non-voting member of this Association.

(2) Associate members may form a committee (comprised of Associate members only) to propose or make recommendations to the Board of Directors.

(3) Associate membership is granted after application and approval of the Board of Directors.

(4) Dues are required for associate membership.

 

Organizational/Institutional:

An organization or institution whose purpose is to promote quality health care to Texas Children and youth and supports the goals as established by the Texas Association of School-Based Health Centers shall be granted Organizational/Institutional membership.

(1) The small organization or institution is entitled to three (3) memberships per organization/institution.

(2) The large organization or institution is entitled to six (6) memberships per organization/institution.

(3) Individuals retain all rights and privileges of active membership.

(4) TASBHC membership is personal and is vested upon the individual. Upon transferring an organization/institutional membership, notice of the transfer must be given to the Executive Secretary in writing prior to any membership transfer.
